studio etiquette

Please always drive into the driveway FROM BROADWAY and exit through THE ALLEY. It is run as a one-way. Please do not park in the alley.

Always come to the back door.

Please arrive on time.

If you are unable to come to class or will be late, please advise the studio.

Please bring a labeled water bottle to class.

Please do not bring gum or candy and if you bring a snack or lunch, NO NUTS or NUT PRODUCTS.

Long hair must be pulled or pinned back away from the face.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring indoor shoes that you can move in. (Preferably running shoes or jazz shoes or ballet slippers – No high heels, slippers or sandals).

Please do not bring toys, electronics, money or other things that could get lost. Free My Muse is not responsible for these items.

  • Parents, friends and families are asked to give students space during classes/rehearsals and only stay for the first fifteen minutes of the first class if necessary unless special arrangements are made prior with the Artistic Director. Of course, we understand that certain situations require different plans.

  • If ever your Actor requires a little more space or attention than usual but reasons cannot be disclosed, please consider emailing us with simply “Handle with Care.”  Instructors will recognize that awareness will be in place of an Actor not presenting as their best that day.

  • Please be respectful of the space, the instructors, special guests and other class participants.

  • Please be prompt when picking Actors up from classes.

  • Classes that are missed or canceled due to student absences will not be made up.  Classes that are canceled by the studio WILL be made up.  Monologue classes will provide ONE make up class if student cancels due to weather. Singing classes will provide ONE make up class if student cancels due to weather and ONE make up class if student cancels due to illness.

Please note:
Performance-Based Classes have additional expectations.
